Conclusion
Happiness, is it something that you are just given when you are born or something you have to find? I have found in my wild and crazy search that happiness can take many forms for different people. Look to your left then to your right there are many different types of people out there. No one is alike as much as people say that they can be they are not. I looked and looked to find the one item that would make me and or everyone around me happy. I found that there is no such thing as a single key to happiness, but there are many things that will lead one person to happiness but it is up them to find those things and use them. I found that money can’t buy you happiness but it can sure as heck help you on your path to happiness by making you life a little bit more enjoyable if you know how to spend it right. Then I found that Religion can make many people happy but it is really what is in side the person and if they feel that is the only thing to their happiness. With that there are people out there that say that you can predict happiness based on your past. They say that if you did not enjoy something and don’t give it another chance or hold a gauge against an idea that you may be holding yourself form happiness. I really actually don’t all agree with that throy just based on the fact that it sounds crazy. I found in my research that it takes many things to make me happy but I need to find the right things. In the end I find that I want to go one from this and look into this topic a bit deeper and find out what I can do to make people happier. What things can I go out and do on a daily basis and make the general public happier? I feel that an influence by me to someone’s life will in the end make me happy because I did a good deed.

The Happiness of Religion
According to Father Conner Alexander a Priest at Christ and St. Luke’s of Norfolk, VA, in an interview on what is happiness to a leader of faith he answered a few questions that I compiled to ask. Questions such as what is happiness in the eyes of a leader of faith, how do you suggest that someone could find happiness, is happiness possible, and does happiness exist outside of faith? Father Conner had many answers being with the statement that “happiness is self knowing.” He then continues to answer the question by quoting a scripter from the bible known as the Lady at the Well( John 4:5-30) saying there was a lady who had been married five times and was cheating on her current husband with another man. As she went to a well one day there was Jesus and he claimed that he still wanted to complete this ladies life and have her follow him even after all that she has done. Father Conner continues by telling me that what he sees from this passage is that God wants everyone to be happy and that he is not the all mighty smiter. He wishes to be in a relationship with everyone and that is a way for everyone to be happy to be in a relationship with God. As Father Conner goes on he tells me that he believes that everyone has a potential for happiness and that God created everyone for a good reason and because of humanities rebellion(sin) it has fallen (there is no good) how ever it seems to look. He claims that the church is there to restore the good in life and to make all happy and in a relationship with God. In the End with the final question waiting Father Conner says that in his life he has not known what life would be like with out faith and would not know any other way to live but with faith and that in his own eyes he does not feel there is true happiness with out faith and a strong relationship with God.
As a man of faith I tend to believe what Father Conner says. But there are some things that I can not go with. First let me say that faith makes me happy. Just the fact of going to church every Sunday and meeting up with fellow walkers in faith makes my happy and sets a good tone for the week ahead. I noticed when I don’t go I don’t have such a good week as if I did go. I do believe that God made us good and humanity made choices and changed good into bad and that the church is here to guide the human race in the right path to happiness. Then when he goes on and tells me about the lady at the well I do believe in that because what I have been taught about faith and that God will always forgive you even if you have many mistakes in your life. Now when it came to the last question I had a problem believing that you can only be happy with faith. Now yes I am happy with faith in my life, but before faith I was happy to just in a different manner. I feel people can be happy in any walk of life but it may not be the right type of happiness it could be false happiness.

CAN HAPPINESS BE PREDICTED
According to Tiffany Sharples, of TIME, in the article Can you Predict Happiness she points out with her main clause that we can no predict happiness. She states that when people try to figure out how much happiness they will have they get what is called attention collapse(when we imagine future experiences, people compare them with alternative experiences- ones where we’ve had in the past, or other experiences we might have before or after). She goes on to tell how there was a time when you could compare a company picnic on a weekend or go to a spa. This is where she claims that attention collapse will fall in with the past times that you have been to a company picnic and it has been horrific and the spa sounds so much better. On the other hand she said that you should look at it as a chance to get to know other people at you work and have a good time due to the fact that every thing is not the same as it was in the past. Then she goes in a different route when she compares a marriage to not being married. She claims that when someone is toste up between marring one person or another they are making a choice that well last forever. When they make that choice the other person soon just fades away and all is done but what if when you make that decision and you think what if that person moves in down the road from me or that person goes where I go it will make for a person to have attention collapse. She claims that when faced with irrevocable decisions people are happier with the outcome than when they have the opportunity to change their minds.
I find that when Tiffany Sharples wrote her article she had to have been writing a lot about that has happened to her in the past. But see on my side I feel that all of this is not true I do agree with her in the fact that you can not judge the past on the future. I have been there and done that. Life if full of untold things and is at many times a mystery. On the other hand I do not agree with her and when she claims that when we are faced with the irrevocable decisions and we are happier with the out come. How can you be happier if you do not know what the outcome of the other situation would be I feel that is truly not researched to the fullest. I feel that we all make choices and we have to face them and that there not always filled with candy at the end some times they are filled with sour tarts.

Ethics, Morals, Values
In the first passage was from Peter Singer. He started out by setting the atmosphere with a clip from a movie. This was an attempt to make the reader feel hart felt about the situation. Then he moves in to saying what was right and wrong about what the lady did in the movie. Then he goes by telling the reader facts about how people spend their money on things that he says are non-essential. He pulls these facts together from studies that were done. Then a story is told about a man his priceless car and a kid who is in trouble. It seems that he puts a lot of guilt on people and finds the negative in every thing he has written about. After making people feel small about their actions Peter then brings in way he thinks that we as society can help out the less fortunate and the cost that should be paid out. But he does not stop there he goes on and says we should give all the money we spend on non-essential things to people overseas. In the end he pulls all his facts together and closes with a very rough side by putting a guilt trip on the reader.
In the second passage by Greg Schaefer there we many note worthy things brought up. This author when back and actually used the same stories as the first writer did and kind of went at it in a more positive way. He argues that there is no reason why people in this country who have the money to give to an organization and decide not to. He has a compassionate side to both of the people he wrote about in his passage. He spoke about the lady who in fact did not realize that the being that she had contributed to peddling organization. Then he spoke about a man who in which valued his vehicle over the life of a young boy who was in the wrong place at the wrong time and chose his car over the young boys life. He feels that both people had a hard decision to make and had to make the one that would feel to be the right one for them. He was very short in what he wrote about but he made a point to show how Peter makes the read feel guilty. He then goes on and argues a valid point about the amount of money to donate and how he made himself(Greg) feel compelled to do so. But he lost him at the point where he (Peter) said to give all of your extra money to the overseas area. He claimed there was not a good augment on it and that it was like just talking about and then ending it quickly.
I felt really good picking this topic. It points out the side I don’t think about when I am doing normal everyday things. I did not know at all the as Peter said “200$ could take a sick 2yr old and turn him into a healthy 6yr old.” I felt really bad that I go out and buy thing that I think I need but in all reality I do not need. I could put that money in saving and then send it to a worth wild charity overseas. But I also agree with Greg when bashes Peter and says that is not a good thing to give up all your extra money to overseas. I don’t think that it would be healthy for people to spend all their extra money overseas because when we spend money on little and big things that people may claim to be useless we support other peoples jobs. Now, if we don’t pay them for their goods then they have no job and then they will need the money to help their families. Some one could see that a little here and there would be good. I want to believe in with Greg on his passage about how we can help out a little bit. He is also true in the statement about how there is no reason why we should argue the fact about how people with a lot of money don’t give their money to others but then how do we know if they giving their money away. There are many people out there who do not have much money and they actually give some and too them what would seem as a lot of money to overseas groups. Both authors have points that are valid in many ways, but moral is what would maybe driving factor in this area of life. Maybe happiness is derived form giving to people who fail to have less them me.

WHAT IS HAPPINESS
What is happiness to people in this world in this day in age? Look back to the black and white classic TV. show Lasie2 where the husband came home from work and the lady of the house was cooking dinner and the children were eagerly doing their home work or playing with the family pet. The painted family picture was that there is always happiness in the perfect family. People these days look at their nahaboer and say “ wow I bet they have the best life or they must live like a king I wish I could be live like them!” That is not a healthy thing to do because that is putting your life down people may look at your life and say the same thing about it being the best. People have to live in the moment and realize that they were given the life they have and they can change it.
In my life I have seen and thought to myself what it would be like to live the life of someone else who looks like they have it better off then me and that would make me happy. I was wrong in my way of thoughts boy was I wrong! I have found in the time I have put on this earth that my definition of happiness is what you make of life and what you make of the situation that you are in at the time. Be it a bad situation or be it the best one of my life I just have to deal with things as they come to me and not over act on them. The whole meaning of life is just to be happy and spread the happiness. The whole time I was thinking about this I was listening to a song my sister told me about back when I was younger called Shiny Happy People by R.E.M. this song means so much and will make me crack a smile every time I hear no matter what mode I may be in.
There are people who think there is no happiness and that they are here to suffer and that everyone around them with feels the same way because they want them to. They will go threw any means to make it where people around them are miserable. These are the kind of people the make life hard and un-enjoyable at times. You do not want to be around these people a lot or any unless you try to change their outlook on life and their sour side.
There are many different answers to the question what is Happiness?
People say that happiness is sitting quietly on their front porch, watching a rainstorm dance by, observing all of nature joyously celebrating its abundance. Or a clear MRI on a brain scan! Even one person said: having more than enough in each area of life–more than enough faith, more than enough relationships, more than enough physical, emotional and mental resources is happiness. People have their own answer and there is no wrong answer either. That is why God gave us a brain to think with and give our own opinions. 1

I BELIEVE THAT KNOWLEDGE IS THE WAY OF ONES FUTURE
People think in the early days of their life that they only need to retain items for test not for the future. See people are wrong when they thing in that manner. If they wish deal with money when they get older well then don’t you think that they might want to pay attention in their math courses. Or what if someone would like to deal with animals heath they might want to go to their sciences classes. I bring the large points up because people do not pay attention to the little things, but more to to the larger things. Every day we are going to deal with things that we learned in life. If people stop learning and just go on with their life and just wish to use the few very few thing they were taught in life that what a boarding place this would be. I personal belief that we should have a no T.V. day or even a time set aside for everyone to pick a book or a news paper and just read for a little bit. The more we put into out brains the more we will know and remember. It was once brought to my attention that by the year 2010 the average human beaning will not be able to remember more then five phone numbers by memory. All I am saying is that people need to open their minds up and see that knowledge is the only way to a successful future.
